Small business web design is a website that is specifically designed to meet the needs for a small business owner or entrepreneur that either doesn't have a website or currently has one that doesn't suit their needs. We work hard to develop a website that suits your exact needs, fits within your budget, is professional looking and, most importantly, is effective, meaning you get clients/customers from it. Our websites are designed so that you modify them easily, upgrade them as needed (there are some limitations), and you can continue to grow them as your business grows.

This is covered more in detail here.

A better question would be What is Small Business SEO (Search Engine Optimization)?

You could also call this Local SEO. Our SEO programs are tailored to get you the best rankings for your local area. We work mainly with local and small to medium sized businesses, so we tailor our SEO programs to meet those needs. For example a Columbus Pawn Shop wouldn't be doing business in Iowa and a Grove City Realtor wouldn't be selling homes in Cleveland. So we work to get better rankings for these types of clients in the local area so that local visitors can find them easily and do business with them.

The business of providing the storage, connectivity, and services necessary to serve files for a website.
A company that provides web hosting services is called a web host, and their detailed offers of storage, connectivity, and services are called web hosting plans.
There are literally thousands of web hosting services, ranging from individuals to worldwide corporations, and many web hosts offer multiple web hosting plans.
Below are basic checklists with some factors to consider when searching for a web host and a web hosting plan. Your requirements may vary.

Excerpt from http://www.techterms.com/definition/webhost

In order to publish a website online, you need a Web host. The Web host stores all the pages of your website and makes them available to computers connected to the Internet. The domain name, such as "sony.com," is actually linked to an IP address that points to a specific computer. When somebody enters your domain name into their browser's address field, the IP address is located and Web site is loaded from your Web host.
A Web host can have anywhere from one to several thousand computers that run Web hosting software, such as Apache, OS X Server, or Windows Server. Most websites you see on the Web are accessed from a "shared host," which is a single computer that can host several hundred Web sites.
Larger websites often use a "dedicated host," which is a single machine that hosts only one website.
Sites with extremely high amounts of traffic, such as apple.com or microsoft.com, use several computers to host one site.
If you want to publish your own website, you'll need to sign up for a "Web hosting service." Finding a good Web host shouldn't be too hard, since their are thousands available. Just make sure the Web host you choose offers good technical support and ensures little or no downtime. You'll usually have to pay a monthly fee that varies depending on how much disk space and bandwidth your site will use. So it's a good idea to estimate how big your site will be and how much traffic you expect before signing up for a
Web hosting service.

We are based in Columbus Ohio and do business all over Central Ohio including Grove City, Ostrander, Westerville, Dublin, etc.

A lot of small business owners will do a search for local web designer or small business web design or small business web design columbus.

Honestly you don't have to. We have web design and SEO clients from all over the USA and can do any type of project for just about anyone, Big or Small We Do It All.

A domain name is the address that you type to go to a website, for example www.OTWebDesigns.com. This is also called a URL or Uniform Resource Locator, which is simply an address for a website.

This differs from what you type to look for a website. For example, you open up a browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari, etc) and instead of typing www.otwebdesigns.com you type in o.t. web designs and hit enter. Normally this will pull up a list of search results. What you have done here is look for us using a search engine (Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc) and the search engine has returned the results of that search using those keywords. Keywords are just a term the search engine uses to determine what you trying to look for.

Keywords are what you type when you are looking for someone using a search engine.

Go to Google.com and type in small business web design and hit enter.

Small business web design is the keyword (in this case what we call a longtail keyword or keyword phrase), the list of results will be the Search Engine Results Page (or SERPs).

Keywords can be anything you are searching for whether it's web design or SEO or cat furniture made by an Ohio carpenter. It can be one word or an entire sentence.

The websites that come up in the list of search results is the search engine's best guess on websites that answer what you are looking for (the simple answer, it is actually much more complicated than that).
